    Default Intercooler upgrade Defender td5

    Hi Guys.

Just some info and feed back!!

I ordered A upgraded intercooler from Elton in JHB.

Ordered on a friday and arrived in cape town on Wednesday.

30+ emails were swopped between me and Elton.
    Really happy with his service!!

Intercooler arrived in a great condition and fitted with a bit of modifying BUT not a lot had to be done to make it fit! After 5 hours of fitting and refitting it, its in and looks great. took it for a test drive and feels great! now just to loose the picky back and get a remap at Jakes 4x4.

Thanks for a great product and all your advice and emails!!!

    Thumbs up Well done Elton

Glad you got sorted Steff, would love to see the fitment.

Best thing for any turbo charged engine to last IMHO.

Steff, sounds great. If you don't mind, how much was the intercooler ?

Thumbs up info on the intercooler and more

    Hi Guys

    More info:

I fitted the intercooler from the front with out moving the radiator. I don't have the air-con radiator and pipes. so it s was real easy.
I got the intercooler delivery for around 5k. no cost in fitment.

Firstly im not a pro with the ecu and computer chat.

Now: went to jakes 4x4 and we found out I have a non programable ecu.
no remap possible. So for now i disconnected picky back and i will see and feel the difference. Will even try and see the econcomy difference in fuel. with picky back and with out. will try post results.
Jakes spent a good while explaing, showing, teacher me all the lingo with the ecu. wow this guy knows his lingo. I would def go back there for help!

So if I got the extra bucks and want a spare ecu. I think I will try and find a new ecu type. ( nnn500020 if thats right) Then a remap and I will be good to go. But thats a dream at the moment.

    Santa help me please!!!

    Thumbs up

Elton is great guy and it was an absolute pleasure doing business with him.
I also bought an intercooler from him (fitted by Walter) and he also did a remap of the ECU.
The performance difference afterwards was unbelievable.
    Fuel consumption, fully loaded @ 110km/h is between 9.5 - 10L/100kms.

I'm sure Baben will have a couple of NNN ecu's available.
Not sure if they are interchangeable though?
