Hey Folks. Leaving for Dijara on the 18th, arriving the 19th and leaving again the 26th.
How is the camp site? Is there anything that I should take with? Solar showers etc..
    Thanks in advance.

There's quite a few tracks in that area, we saw wilddog, ele's, buff, lion, sable and others around there last year. Herd's of ele's and lion south towards Dizhana. And as mentioned the drive to Khwai is quite good and you don't have to go into Moremi.

Tshaa next door had working showers and a flush toilet with bucket.

I would go any time, Dijara or Tshaa, with or without working showers.

Thank you again. It would not bother me in the slightest as well. But I do not want to end up going there with the expectations of having showers/toilets and water and then there is nothing and even worse, not being prepared for not having any of those. My mother is going with, it will be her 1st time in Bots, camping like this. She does struggle with her knees and legs. So would like to try and make it as easy for her as possible, whether it is, having solar showers, taking own water, not sure about if there is no toilets....Like I said, I would rather be prepared than not have anything when we get there...Thanks again

I mailed booking agents. They said the have got confirmation from the operators of dijara assuring her that the ablutions have been renovated and there is water.
So I will take their word for it.

It looks like there are again good ablutions and water. Is the water drinkable?

Is there any power at the campsites or do we have to be self sufficient on solar?

Hey Guys, we were there a week ago pretty much, the campsite is basically newly re-opened, and basically expect to be full bush camping.

There are flush toilets, and running water by the toilets, but these are out in the open with canvas walls. So its pretty wild. The shower is cold, and requires you to fetch water, fill up a canvas shower, and then raise the shower over you to shower.

I never saw any power, it basically was like they just cleaned the group around the campsite - so full on wild camping.

We had lots of Elephant come down to the river to drink, and saw plenty of Hyena at night.

Hi. If you can, get a camp site at Tshaa camps site, at each camp site there is shower, flush toilet, basen, running water and a donkey system for hot water. Take own drinking water as water is pumped from boreholes or river, not drinkable. There is no power at any campsites.
