Taraleee, please warn the owner of Dijara to put up signs etc etc warning off campers very clearly about feeding and harassing animals, leaving food stuffs lying around and throwing meat products/bones in the fire and burying anything etc and dealing properly with rubbish and litter. If he does not he could very quickly get an habituated baboon and hyena problem at the camp site and then he will have a challenge on his hands.

    Regards,

    Roadman

How about a receipt of payment that covers all the rules, regulations and suggestions. Signage is a big turnoff to some of us.

That's a good idea, I could put it on the vouchers sent to everyone.

Hi Taralee, if you like I can write up as set of draft rules for further consideration adjustment etc, feeding off the current Bots reserve rules. I can get them to you over the weekend. I will be there in Dec so I will be drafting rules for myself (hows that!) - might just sneak in a rule or two for Swambo to obey - no on second thought that's not a good idea.

Hi Taralee, I sent a private message..completed a draft set of basic rules and safety measures and e-mailed them through to your Ngami.net address this weekend via my sons g-mail. ( I was struggling with mine and could not find how to include an attachment using the forum e-mail facility) . Please look out for it and let me know if you got it. Otherwise I will resend. I did not deal with night driving as I was unsure what the situation is. I imagine if you may well want to drive to the ablutions at night (iif this is necessary) but game driving around the greater camp at night with spot lights etc would need to be included as a no no. We stayed there end April very pleasant and clean, water for shower pumped from the Mababe River. Regular elephant visits in the campsite. Good for a stopover en route from Savuti.

    Default Dijara game drives

First timer. Are there any gamedrive routes in the Dijara area or do you have to go into Moremi, I am staying 2 nights at Dijara.
