Default Need some advice please. Cherokee stuck in 4x4!!

I need some help please. I have a 2004 Cherokee 2.8l CRD 4x4, when I use the 4x4 and put it into part time or full time 4x4 everything seem to work 100%, but when I want to put it back into 2WD and I drive off it feels like one of my back wheels is still stuck in 4x4, you can feel it especially when I turn. The other day when I went back into 2WD it felt stuck again and I felt a slight knock. To get it out I have to keep switching between 2wd and 4x4 and drive in a circle until I can feel its back in 2wd.

Does anyone know what the problem might be, and how much it will cost to fix? We are planning a trip to Inhambane in Dec but I dont want to take any chances.

I'm no expert but when I'm in part time or low range and change to 2wd i get the same thing. I think the centre diff lock needs some movement to disengage. I don't think you need to worry about it. In part time or low range the centre difflock locks to provide 50-50 power distribution and its harder to turn. Should no be used on hard surfaces.
