Angry Strange TuffStuff increase - What are they up to????

I would like to know if other members, who are insured through TuffStuff, have received an mail lately in which it states that only specific vehicles premiums are being increased and only if the vehicle was part of the policy after a certain date. In my case 1st Sept 2013?

I find it strange that an increase is applied to only specific items, but in the same sentence they say "Unfortunately, the time has come where we can no longer prevent such a general increase having to take place".

I have a feeling I am being quietly screwed in my premiums based on an accident that took place where someone went into the back of me. At the time I specifically asked if there would be any impact on my premiums to which I received a mail stating that is would definitely not. Thank goodness I kept it because I think I will need it.

So guys please let me know if you are in the same situation as me so I know if I need to take action on this or not.

    Thanks

I also got one, but in all fairness, Raymond did warn us all on here that the increases were coming and to look out for the email...

So how much was the increase? R50.00?

Did you phone them? Huh? are you the one that verbally abused the poor person at the other end?

when is the last time your premium went up?
how large a percentage increase was this one?
what has the inflation rate been the last few years that you didn't get an increase in premiums?

    still unhappy?

Now that you mention it, I have to totally rearrange my budget to be able to cater for the R46.54 increase I got slapped with.

My premium went up by R100. cant remember if there was one last year .....how old am I again...dam this age thing.

No i didn't phone them I decided to do some quick research here first to see if it would be necessary to phone. So also no abuse anywhere.

Now with the feedback I know that its all in line. Thanks for the replied guys. Much appreciated

The accident had nothing to do with the increase.

Well reading posts on how TS came to recover soooooooooooooO many 4x4s it's a wonder that TS hasn't up your premiums by 300% . 4x2s owners probably get cash back yearly due to not having to be recovered

    I actually think it's a toyota thing!

Check how many threads there are on toyota insurance costs.

People with jeeps are more concerned about the petrol price

I haven't seen a letter but I've just changed my policy anyway...
