For R15k I would just put a turbo on the L28......probably the smoothest Old 6cyl ever made.

    Julle Brits mense tog........

The problem is there are no off-the-shelf manifolds for a turbo so Reenen, while competent enough, would need to waste a month having stuff welded and fabricated.

The L28 is pretty flat when it comes to torque at low revs and the wrong exhaust makes it worse. Only a supercharger will provide punch off the bottom.

Or else we must have a look at split branch headers.

I see the Yanks do a Y-split manifold on the V8's where they cross-match exhaust ports to get extra extraction and use long header pipes for more torque.

    Grips can maybe add details?

    What I would do.......

RD28 straight six diesel, and a variable nozzle turbo. Screw in fuel adjustment until it starts pushing smoke and then a quarter turn backwards. You'll have around 110kW at 4,400 rpm and over 300
    Nm at 2,400 rpm.

So something that generates a nice fat power band between idle and over 4000rpm. That's similar to the L28 Turbo used in the 280ZX turbo car. And it will use half the fuel.

4,400 rpm is more than enough for playing at AD.

Darem kry ek krag van Tshwane maat, so geniet jou diskonneksie weens wanbetaling..........

Nie dood nie, net arm. Baie arm.

TD27 or RD28T conversion will pay for itself in one trip.
