If we are lucky we will get a set of 4,11s. I need 4,88. So regear kits for both diffs needed.

Hi pinion would be nice. But purely a bonus if found.

I could possibly push the 4,11 ratio on the tar, even if I ever get to run 33s. But off road its going to be a problem.

Just going from 29 to 31" tyres I can feel the speed increase. Drop another 20% on the diff and I will need a set of crawler gears for the transfer case or a second one in line with the existing.

Reenen Toyota move has merrit. And now speaking to some people here, I am being told the Toy box is way stronger than the Nisssn box.

That convinces me... Toybox and diff it is.. unless someone has a poked Dana that they can donate to the project, then the regear becomes cost effective...time consuming, but effective.

Just out of interest, and this is just me thinking a few years ahead of myself, what are the sizes and ratios of the Patrol diffs?

My Dad (4ePajero) has a pair of Mitsubishi 4.875 diffs available (out of his now scrapped Gen1 Pajero).

Rear diff has disk brakes (nice!).

Front is pumpkin on the left, with auto-engage hubs.

    Drive shafts available too.

    Spare front diff also available.

    Standard 6-hole wheel-nut pattern.

    No need for rim spacers.

All Landy axles are RHS pumpkin, except for the P38 (last of the solid axle Range Rovers). The P38 axles could be a good option. Still need other rims.

Patrol diffs are 4.625 like most other Safaris / Patrols and petrol Sanis.
    Close enough to 4.88.

Dis nou glad nie 'n swak idee nie.

Dawid se Sani is BAIE moeg. Makliker om 'n paar engine en gearbox mounts te doen as die res van die Nissan SFA strooi.

Die XJ Cherokees was glad nie sleg nie. Baie spares, meer as vir Sanis soos Dawie s'n.
