But I'm leaning towards taking the money...

I will build a tray/plat bak or a drop side, better for loading

That's my thinking.

Take the R120k, sell my Colt for R30k & buy a brand new Isuzu KB250 Dog.

That Colt gives a lot of trouble, it is very slow (slowest vehicle I own), it is heavy on diesel (heaviest in my fleet) cost too much (R30k last year, R5k already this year), so I'd like to get rid of it.
Besides... it's 15 years old & has over 240 000km.

No, I need an enclosed vehicle for all the paint & tools etc.
I have other open bakkies (mine, the old KB280 & the Truck)...

So my saga continues. 1 Week and 1 day later we don't have any quotes on the table because the towing/storage company does not want to allow the repairers on site to quote.

This is not frustrating it's crazy.

Let your insurers sort it out. They must pay the towing company and move the vehicle

The process is dragging on another repaired has been appointed and they are still getting prices.

So we realized we are to busy now to be renting and we will nearly pay 40% of a new truck by end of March if we had to rent all this time, so we took a decision to buy an extra truck to take the pressure off. Took delivery yesterday afternoon.

OK, so they came to collect the JMC Baodeng papers & then the bakkie (it was a mess as the guys fetch the papers said they were coming for the bakkies etc. etc.).

Then 2dayslater I was told I'd be paid out theR120k.

The money appeared in my account on the 24th, the next day marked exactly 3 months since the day of the accident.

Really shocking service from my Broker(Elsabe of E&A Brokers) & Santam.

In fact, the ONLY person involved from the day of the accident who was efficient, organized & on the ball was Memory of the Courier company who fetched the vehicle.
