Default Land Rover Freelander Si4 Consumption?

    Hi all,

Specs say that the consumption for the new freelander Si4 engine is somewhere around 9.6l/100km..

Is this true? What figures have Si4 owners gotten?

    Thanks guys

    Cheers

On the highway the best I've managed to get after a weeks worth of driving is about 9l/100km, and in town 13.6l/100km
Combined that should give about 11.3, but I do have a heavy foot, bit of a petrol head, and that 2,0 ltr turbocharged motor purrs like a cat when you open her up...but look on the bright side, petrol goes down by about 45c a liter tomorrow...yay

Had 1 for a week or so. When I collected it, the OBC indicated 14,7l/100km whilst I used it, it went to 15,4l/100km. However on a 160km round trip it came down to 11,9l/100km.

Nice car to drive, but seems it is not much more economical on fuel than either of my V8s at the same speeds.

Also felt like it has a bit of turbo lag; but then again Im used to either normally aspirated V8 or supercharged V8.

In my opinion the diesel seems to be the better option - did I actually say that
