Thanks Eric, received and connected already. I think I received before you even saw the POP. Great service.

A quick question, do you supply extra terminal connectors, the ones that you bolt on the battery, not the one with clamps. Makes it much easier for the bikes instead of taking off seats.

    thanks

F_D my boss lives on the campus and as a result uses his car rather seldomly, as he usually walks the 500m to school. His battery is being drained b y something, can you recomend a charger and a price that he can connect permanently to keep his battery charged? He has a rather new Nissan Xtrail. ROBERT

    Hi Robert,

His choice would be either the BX-1 (Pro) or the BX-2. Basically, the BX-1 Pro has a max charge rate of 3.8 amps while the BX-2 charges at a max 7A. As he only wants to keep his battery fully charged, the cheaper one should adequately suffice.

Please check your PM for pricing.

What would happen in the following situation:

I have an auto-start generator that doesn't work much so the battery runs down.
I want to put a benton on the battery to keep it charged from 220V.
When the 220V falls away the genie will start and battery is charged from the alternator.
But when the 220V comes back the genie will run for a while before it shuts down, thus the benton will have 220V and trying to charge the battery but the genie's alternator is also charging the battery - what will the benton do in this instance, will it get damaged?

Neil, I see no reason why you could not do as you describe above.

But, if it makes you more at ease - a 220V change-over relay powered by the generator's output could be used to ensure that only one charge circuit is connected at any given moment.

Worst case scenario is that the Benton will simply enter the trickle-charge mode as it will sense the higher battery voltage. As this voltage decreases over time when the gennie is off, it will resume its normal charge modes.

    Hi Family Dog.

I need a charger to charge and maintain a 80 Ah battery build into a trailer. Witch one will you recommend? Do you have stock and prize please?

bought a new second hand trailer, it came with a 105 Ah deep cycle. The previous owners didn't use the trailer for a long time, at least a year if not longer and definatly didn't maintain the battery. Just connected the BX2 to it earlyer and nothing happend so probably under 8V, forced some amps in to it with supply mode for 10 minuts or so and then switched to regular charging, the empty light is now flashing so looks like it's charging normally. What do you think is the chance of getting some life back in to this battery and some useful Ah? If it works again it will only have to deal with a few LED lights for now, but know I will have to get a new battery eventually to run the inverter and 12V water pump.
