Is there a prostrate maintainence program.?
I'm not aware of a prostate maintenance programme. The Urologist didn't offer any advice, but then again he knew we were going to fry mine asap.
My wife was a CANSA volunteer for more than a decade and her advice always was to eat tomatoes. I saw the same advice in this thread.
Yet.... I love tomatoes. I eat a minimum of 2 every day, since I can remember, but still the big C got into my prostate at age 61. Hard to tell, maybe I should have had it at 45 and the 'matoes saved the day.

My husband is 52 and he has been going for yearly blood tests and a sonar at his urologist for at least 5 years. Apparently it is not only the actual PSA count, but also the general trend of the count. So it is good to have record of the trend to see a spike which might spell trouble, immediately.

Bottom line is, you cannot be too careful.

That trend indeed - my GP picking that up saved my life. NO other symptoms!

That old prostate enlarges with age. That is what the "Oldman-type slow pee and drip" syndrome is often related too. But it sure isn't a sign of cancer. So yes, there really isn't any symptoms to start with.
