This sounds like an interesting race me and swambo will be doing it.
    Who else will be there?

Booked and looking forward to the 52km. Tried part of the route yesterday at West Park cemetery side, looks like it could be a bit technical but then I mite have been on the wrong path.......see you there

Received a sms. I'm only starting 08h05. At that time the first group will be finished and I don't have a change (sp) to win

What time are you guys starting?

    Doing the 52
    Starting at 7:20

I've been recovering from a severe lung infection for the past two weeks. It's very likely that you'll finish before I do

I expect that there will be plenty of bottlenecks at the floating bridges and drop-ins at the storm water drains. This is going to be a social ride and not a race

Best leave the testosterone and podium ambitions at home for this one

The number collection was quite fast when we were there this morning but I think tomorrow & Sat will be another story.

Yes a social ride through & over stuff that I wouldn't do every day!

With the bottle necks - do you think we'll avg at least 15km/h?

Bottlenecks will happen...... but this is more fun than anything else. The guys in the front will go for the very nice price!!

But even better than the bottlenecks, will be if it rains!!

Nice bridge over Oxford this morning:

Well. The ride had just as many bottlenecks as we anticipated and I probably spent about 25-minutes in queues

The scaffolding, bridges and tunnels were very well done and I had great fun

An experienced lady stopped midway down a drop and caused me to fall about 2-meters. I snapped 4-spokes, bent my rotor and rim and snapped some teeth on my rings

I carried the bike for about 2Km hoping for a sweeper vehicle but none appeared so I cut the damaged spokes, removed the calliper and bent the rotor back into shape to allow the back wheel to turn. Thanks goodness I always carry my trusty Leatherman with me!

I literally limped the last 20Km to the finish line without gears or brakes
A truly unforgettable experience. I hope for a rematch next year!
