    Hey georgeb,

Yip we fitted an IndelB TB 45. See picture

Fridge works great but the 105 AH battery struggles to keep it up for more than 48 hours after a full charge. I had to charge it from the car for about 1,5 hours every day, while camping in Khutse

I'm a tad reluctant to get a solar panel, as it is another thing that needs to unpacked and repacked. perhaps an extra 105 AH battery will do the trick.

We did not take the standard full awning, but use a silver reflective flysheet instead.

Benhollie, as I am still awaiting delivery of my trailer in January and still have some time to change my order, do you think the L-shape awning is really necessary if the silver flysheet can be used with ease? Will you ever use your L-shape?

Hi ErichV, We did not take the L Shape either, but only the small kitchen awning. I don't think we'll ever use any of the bigger awnings. We're too lazy. The advantage of the silver sheet, is that it is NOT attached to the main tent, making the camping configuration a lot more flexible.

We have not camped in the rain yet, but I think the silver flysheet should be sufficient to keep the kitchen dry.

I suppose it all depends on your own application. We often go on "One night pitch and go" trips during the winter months, making extra awnings a lot of extra work, if one considers the ease of pitching the main tent.

We don't do 3 week summer holiday camping at the coast.

Have a look at this foldable solar panel sold by Bush Power http://www.bushpower.co.za/products.asp?pid=266

Only problem is that if you want to close the sides for keeping out the cold winds you will not be able to do it when using the silver flysheet. I intend to get some side panels as well as my SWAMBO gets cold very easily.

Yep - a large solar panel can keep you quite busy especially when you need to follow the sun with it....

I am really amazed by all the different configurations in use. From where have you purchased that fly sheet and does it come with the poles, etc included?

    Lekker kamp...

I bought the silver sheet at Campworld Gezina, when we still had the Camptech trailer. The 5x5 was perfect for the Camptech. For the Outplay I would suggest 5x6.

Benhollie I like your kitchen setup, it looks like yours is a bit wider than the other ones. Do you have all your plates, glasses and mugs in the one drawer?

Seems to me that he opted for a smaller fridge compartment and a wider cupboard.

ErichV, yip it all fit in the wider single drawer with some handy space below the drawer for pots, pans etc. All that happened because Swambo wanted the stove permanently fixed on top with both basin and dry rack on the side. (Probably not practical for shortish people, especially with the 17 inch wheels)

George, i missed your question about the poles. I made my own telescopic poles and Chris was so kind to give some extra ropes.

I don't have any pic of the drawer, but will take some later this week.

We opted for the bed extension, if I remember correctly the size is then 2m x 2m, big enough for 3 people to sleep next to each other, we went this route so that mini me(he'll be one in Feb when we get the trailer) can sleep on top with us till he's older, that way SWAMBO will also be more at ease when we get lions and other visitors in the camp.
