    Hi there,

So I have sold my D3 but had a similar problem and I will post my experiences with you. Obviously all cars are different so guys please don't slam me for this.

My car was puffing black smoke under load, still had power but not 100% - I could feel the turbo kicking in. After going to a few Independents and all of them told me its the turbo etc. Doing a google search I found a few solutions.

    1) I removed the Intercooler hose only to find a nice big rip in it. Tried to repair it while ordering a new one. It fixed the problem temporarily and then ruptured again. Ordered a new silicone hose from the UK and cost me about R1250 delivered. I am sure you can buy them here for the same price. I only changed the main one as the other 2 were still fine.

    2) after a while the car had no power, kicking into LR limp mode which made the car feel like i could run quicker. once again I was told the turbo... doing a search online I then found out how to clean the actuator. This is quite a tricky task but was made easy because I had sourced a turbo to do the change so I had a reference as to where the actuator is. Removing the left front wheel and the turbo heat guard I managed to use a wire coat hanger and some lubricant to loosen up the actuator. This fixed and solved the power issues and black smoke.

I eventually sold the car 8500km later with no problems. The spare turbo was recently sold.

Once again, these are my experiences and how I went about it.

Decat, Blank EGRs and 2 Stroke Oil every Fill up (I did every 3rd fill up).

When I sold my Disco3 TDV6 at 155000km the injectors were still in mint condition.

    It definitely works
