Tim that experience has been imprinted in that old ellie bulls memory bank ... I just hope it was a positive imprint and not a negative one as someone might pay in the future

Waking up this old thread. Is there a simple way to electrify the canvas/mozzie net around the pop-up roof of a caravan with a few strands of electric fence wire running off the vans 12v battery? Does one really need to go the whole energizer route, and if that route how does the earthing work seeing the trailer/caravan is sitting on tyres and mostly non-conductive?

P.S the reason for electrification would be to deter baboons and vervets ripping the stuff open. Yes I can drop the roof when I leave, but they are sometimes so brazen they break in whilst you just turn your back and dropping the roof causes massive heat build-up which is not great for the fridge.

    Any ideas?
