    Default 2008 Terracan for sale

    Hi all,
Helping family with a car purchase.
They are looking at a '08 Auto Terracan crd auto. 150k on the odo and selling for R130k- at a dealer.

New tyres fitted, safari hdp shocks done and rear coils not too long ago (guessing 20-30k km)

Overall its a clean unmolested car, drives well and feels solid
Seems that it has done some overlanding/ camping

    Price seems fair to me?

Is there any known issues on these vehicles?

    Any help will be appreciated

Hi Marius, look around in the Hyundai threads here. This question has been asked before here and diesel owners have posted threads about problems encountered. I think the most reported problem on the diesels are the injectors. I drive a petrol Terracan which also have 155000 km's on the clock. In general these are very solid vehicles and are build to do a lot more kilo's than 150000 km's, a lot more!!. Big thing is how it was looked after by previous owner(s). I love mine to bits and will not swop it for anything else.

Thank you for the reply, did a quick search but will do a more thorough one.

Tracked down the previous owner(forum member). Maintenance has been done meticulously.

    Good solid car

I also have a 2008 CRDi auto with 145 000kms on the clock. Only issues up to date was alternator rectifier and front diff actuator. No leaks and car still feels solid. Injectors still good. I paid a bit more for mine, but it did only have 80 000kms when I bought it.
Expect about 8-9km/l in normal day to day driving.
    Very nice cars.

Great vehicle, very underrated in my opinion. My dad's clocked over R200k now, with no issues, except the flywheel and clutch (he has got the manual, and they all need replacing around R150k) The Auto's are great (no clutch and flywheel issues). The 4x4 actuator could give some problems-the seals get worn, that engages the 4x4, if you switch the button in the cabin, all seems fine, so check if the 4x4 is working properly-either get all 4 wheels in the air and see if they are all moving, or do a pull away on a gravel road with the 4x4 engaged, there should be very little to no wheel spin.
