Agreed, Kyleu is one of our favorite campsites. Heard lions coming through the camping stands early in the mornings but sadly our bushcams didnít get any of it. Guess weíll have to go back there, again and again...

I have Firestone destinations on my XCAPE.
Done about 15 000km on them including Eco Trail, Namaqua National Park Coastal Sites, Tankwa Karoo, the back side of the Cedarberg etc. - no problems at all.

I think it is not shown on the diagram as the vehicle feed is connected directly to the battery. I bought a DC/DC controller and connected the vehicle feed to the battery via the controller. It also handles my solar panel input.

That is correct. The factory wire the Anderson plug directly to the battery with an isolator/fuse in the line for protection.

Wow! Thatís some sand driving Thole, well done. Also just shows what jostling and moving that little van absorbs behind you, intriguing.

    Looks like a great trip.

We had some time in the Xcape last week at St Lucia. Planning something for December.

Thanks for the video - interesting.
We've done that sand strip several times but I did not know the the Xcape moves around as much as it does.

It is quite amazing to see how it bounces around , and then you open the door , and all is right where you left it , nothing broken not even an egg.

    You're right.
On all our trips over the 12 years that we've had the Xcape, traversing some treacherous roads and tracks, we've not broken anything.

I agree. Just returned from a 7500km trip of Namibia and Botswana. Heavy corrugated roads in Namibia and some ready bad roads in Botswana. Besides the water tank level that is working intermittently, not even a broken egg of glass

    Sounds good.

Would removing the fuse for the Hercules charger not do the same? Much easier to remove the fuse.

Yes it would do the same, if you permanently kept it removed. A fuse was not designed to be regularly plugged in and out. Daan
