Nice mods!....anyone of you considered colouring the bright outside led light? A lady camper gave me the tip to spray paint the cover yellow..about 3 layers should be ok.

You can buy one that has different colors. I wouldn't spray it. Maybe see if you can get on the inside of the lens

I wouldn't spray it either. Rather buy the coloured ones available.

They don't sell covers. It's a new unit. Loftus had plenty stock.

    Afternoon all,

I see a lot of nice mods on the xcapes, have had mine for a few months now but have not done much yet, would like to ask if any of you have had any problems with the geyser and water system, I have heard a few stories that the geysers give problems and that if you run the system dry it is apparently very difficult to get it working again, any comments and advise would be appreciated.

    Regards.

hi Des, the only issue i had was with the below standard water pump which i opted to replace with a shurflow pump. Other than that no issues with the geyser...one obviously need to ensure that there is enough water in the tank before switching on the geyser on either 220v or gas and then give it around 15-20 min to heat up.

    Thanks Paul,

Does yours also have the hanson geyser, mine stopped working just after I got it, after much searching found it had blown the fuse on the geyser itself.

I use my geyser on gas or 220 when available without any problems

    Paul,

No, I had to remove the geyser from the caravan, just as well I opened the side by the chimney, I found the geyser was not even screwed down.

I think it's a good idea to check it. Do I just remove the outside plate? Did you screw it down yourself Dess?

Phillip, ons het die drie dae lekker gekamp. Die weer was heel aangenaam. Die ape was nogal lastig. Sal sekerlik weer daar gaan kamp.

    CliveR,
When you open the side cover you have access to the geyser and can then see if it is screwed down, to replace the fuse you have to remove the geyser and open the inspection cover on the back of the geyser.
