    Default Orms

    I'm so happy I can ...

When I worked in Cape Town I always used ORMS for my photography stuff. EXCELLENT service, and developments were always top quality. And their prices were consistently better than the "others" in the Northern suburbs.

For the las 2,5 years I have been working in Bellville. There are about 5 camera places, one brand name and the rest ALL belong to the same owners - SAME price list Never Understood why you would have THREE camera shops with different names in the same mall, yet it all belongs to the same owners. Then you go 3 kilos down the road to get a fourth price - SAME owners ..... Thus I still traipsed to Cape Town ....

JUST saw that ORMS is opening a branch in the Northern Suburbs - right across the road from us. Durban road - Victoria Tower, just after Renault. FINALLY the monopoly in our area is coming to an end.

Shortly I will be able to develop the last few months worth of pictures.

PS - Just maybe I can upgrade to that SX20 IS, hoping they will have some opening specials ...

For those that read WEG, ORMS often supply photographic equipment and specialised advice.

TED - YES, few grand of a range of SLR cameras .....

They opened at 8:00 this morning, people were lining up from 7:00. I walked over at 8:30, and handed in some pictures for printing, the camera desks were PACKED with people. I popped in again at 9:30 ....

I was the FIRST customer to collect prints from the new Orms outlet.

EXACTLY 3 months since ORMS put up their board they finally opened.

NIKS

canon 500d...nice camera daai. As ek mag vra het jy minder as 7k betaal by Orms? Ek gaan volgende week dubai toe, sal daar gaan rond snoep vir een as hulle cheap genoeg is, hulle is baie nice. My ou Canon het vir my baie goeie diens gegee.

    Hi Swys,

The D5000 is getting to the top of the range amateur SLR. Rather spend a little bit more and go for the D90, which is the bottom of the range professional camera, and is a brilliant camera. Or if you are feeling really rich, get the D300 or D3.

    hehehehehe .....

    F1,4 actually ..... STUNNING !!

Judge the 70-200 + x2 converter is as far as I can go (for now) .... Firstly that 400mm is out of my reach, AND even if I got hold of it somehow .... WONT fit in the Hilux !!
