    Default Rustenburg - Windhoek

    Hi guys,

Does anyone know of a suitable route to get from Rustenburg to Windhoek with a caravan in tow? I've been told that you can go via Botswanna A2 to Ganzi and then the B6 in Namibia via Gobabis to Windhoek...

Is this possible with a caravan in tow? Else we'll have to route via Uppington...

    Many thanks in advance.

You are quite correct with your route via Botswana. We call it the Trans Kalahari Highway and it was build to connect the port of Walvis Bay to Botswana and RSA.
Perfect road. Just be careful for animals in Bots and game (warthogs, kudu etc.) on the Nam side.

    Hi Guys,
i'm also planning to travel from JHB to Walvis along the trans kalahari highway.

Can anyone suggest an over night camping site in the Kang / Ghanzi area? ( I have a roof top tent)

Colin on the left a few KM before you turn left on the A2 to Windhoek, you will find Kalahari Rest Stop. Or if you have time you can continue and just past the Nam border on the right you will find Zelda's.

    Both of them are good.
