Default Help needed on National Luna Dual Battery Controller

My wife got a NL dual battery controller with her car, but it didn't work. I tried mine, which worked perfectly. I opened up the non-functional one and saw nothing wrong. Any ideas from anybody?

AFAIK there is a fuse inside that can blow. It should also have a reset button somewhere.

    Did you switch it on?

Hold in the red button on the front for a couple of seconds

I think the OP is referring to the controller that forms part of the intelligent solenoid and not the dual battery monitor.

No visible fuse. Everything looks perfect. Nothing bloated or burnt.

Tried that as well. You hold the set button for 5 seconds. Nothing happened.

Sorry for stating the obvious, but being a previously owned vehicle, are you sure there is an Auxillary battery fitted? Most sellers would remove the battery for intallation into their new vehicle....

Blackie, not the intelligent solenoid. The second one, the controller.

Luckily I'm not that clueless. The battery that was in the car was buggered and we replaced it. Then I found the intelligent solenoid was wired incorrectly and corrected it. That's how we found out the 2nd battery was buggered. Also like I said my controller is working correctly. Just Swambo's is not working.

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the earth of the vehicle.IE kill all earth to the unit..... Sometimes the little brain of the unit gets in a knot and needs to be reset, especially if the positive terminals are connected first.
Have you tried the wifes controller in your car?

I had a problem with my monitor. The cable connector had a bad contact, and the monitor would only work if I held the connector.
I eventually opened it up and found one of the steel pins that was soldered to the IC board was loose. I soldered the connection again and she is working!

    Hello. Same unit different issue.

When the idle is off the charge controller(Hand held unit) will Show that the aux Batteries are on 50% or less.

Thr batteries[2 x royal 1150K lead acid deep cycle batteries a 105ah) are charged to 100% with a smart battery charger. The voltage measured directly at the aux Batteries via voltometer shows 12.87 volt. The solar charge controller says the same.

Anyone can help how we get the issue Fixed?

    Thanks.
