I have a 220 lumens light from 5 years ago that I put on my helmet. It is ok, but not great. My next light will be from ExtremeLights - best value for money and very good service.

Thanks guys. Look like I'll try out Extremelights. No way I'm paying what the cycle shops want

so, Jeepman - did you get the light from Extreme Lights?

I ordered mine earlier this week - getting the 2K for the handle bars and the 1K headlight for my lid.

I have jyst recently returned to MTB after about three years off the bike. I can't believe how far lighting- and battery technology has come in a mere three years. These new lights are fantastic!

    Happy riding

I am SO loving this light!
Went for another club ride tonight, and outshone any lights there. It just makes night riding more fun, and a lot safer.
    Great bang for my bucks!

Whatever you end up buying, PLEASE angle it downwards or put it on dim when a car approaches!

    The prices have come down.

The XP7 replaced the extreme 3K, the 3K was around R3000.00 if i remember correctly although the last 2 to 3 months it was selling for R1999.00. I suspect that had to do with trying to clear stock before they discontinued it.

I can recommend Extreme lights. Shines very bright. Well priced. I've had a cycle light for a few years now. Did a Full Moon adventure race with it, used it right through the night. No problems.
