Shipping from Sudan

Does anyone have reliable and recent information for RoRo shipping from Sudan to Jeddah (Saudi), Aqaba (Jordan) or Piraeus (Greece)?

Our trokkie is too big for containertransport....

Check out The HUBB - www.horizonsunlimited.com Sahara Forum which has lots of threads of people who have shipped (mostly into Sudan). It appears fearsomely difficult and there is also the issue of Saudi Arabian visas.

The HUBB is a terrific overland forum.

Thanks, I scourge the Hubb daily... but a leads for shipping FROM Sudan have panned out so far - hence my question on this forum.

Have you see this thread? (Scroll down to the last post but one).These guys were travelling the other way but did get a roro from Aqaba to Port Sudan. And you would think that if it is possible in one direction it should be in the other.

Anyway there are lots of contacts here that may help.

Drive to Sawakin south of Port Sudan. You can get tickets to Jeddah there. Do not forget to get a Visa in Khartoum. Remember, in Jeddah they check your car every centimetre.
