Question Jeep Cherokee 3.7L 2005 mean looking Fender Flares

    Hi

Does anyone know where one get fender flares similar to the black new Jeep Wrangler on the attached photo as posted recently on the forum for a Jeep Cherokee 3.7 Ltd 2005?

I know the Jeep Cherokee Renegade have some similar fender flares.

I think this will look sick on a black Jeep Cherokee

Bushwacker cut-outs. Prepare to pay through your teeth though.

And it seems they don't have any for the KJ.

They look great on a XJ though...wouldn't mind a set myself, but I've yet to convince myself that its worthwhile paying R4500 for a set!

I'd be very surprised if the Renegade/Riverbed Edition flares will be cheaper via a dealer, in fact, I'll put my money on them being even more expensive!

To give you an idea - on a KJ there is a small little plastic bit that forms part of the rear fender flare that mounts on the bottom front corner of the rear wheel well - it's about the size on a fist. Years ago when I had a KJ I once damaged the side of the car (long story) and that bit was on backorder once the panelbeater was finished with the car, thus me knowing how much that one small little parts costs. At that time it was around R1000.

Why not get a couple of guys that want those fenders, buy them, make a mould and reproduce the others from fibreglass. That way, if you even damaged one, you don't have to look the dealer in the eye...and you can make a buck or two on the side recouping the initial outlay. If your concience is going to remind you that this might be illegal, then this might not be for you...

Thanks for the advice gorman - will take the cost to heart and like your suggestion about molds. Will investigate.

The plastic bits from Jeep are crazy on the price. Now thats how i ended up with a ARB front bumper, i damaged the plastic bumper and it needed replacing the cost came to R22400 and they did not even touch the body work at all. So i call the insurance and spoke to them about it and told them i could get the ARB bumper for R12500 fitted and colour coded, They jumped at it.

Rip of your fender flares and claim

Now thats not what i did i was talking to a blond and reversing trying to get her number, i caught a small pole and it riped it half way off. i did not get the number but some thing better! An ARB bumper8) i did tell the insurance the whole story and the chap just laughed.
