Hi All. I took ownership of my brand new Jurgens Xplorer today and is extremely exited. In the last couple of weeks, while waiting patiently for the caravan to arrive, I searched this forum from top to bottom to find anything written on Xplorers. I did not find a fan club thread dealing with owners of Xplorers just sharing ideas, bragging with nice camping setups or just talking about the product like good fans do. I found bits and pieces though...all very interesting. Herewith then a proposal of starting such a thread. As my ownership of a Jurgens Xplorer is only "hours" long I will post my one and only photo.

Congrats and enjoy!
Ours is packed and ready to leave tomorrow for a second weekend of camping in a row!
You now need to get it out there and dirty...............like these!![]()

Here is our van in Balule KNP last year and one where it was standing at Campworld in Bethlehem FS. This year 5days Balule, 5 days Skukuza, 5 days Ber-en-Dal, can't wait. Will also be doing some other trips as yet unplanned when we get back to SA for 2 months!
Enjoy your van, we certainly do!

If it doesn't say "TOYOTA" on the grill then it probably isn't one.

Congraulations!
I would like to know what the nose weight of your brand new Xplorer is.
Congrats, we got our new one 2 months ago and thus far extremely happy. There are bits an pieces of info doing the rounds, but in all honestly the lack of modifications clearly indicates that the Xplorer is a well designed and complete solution.
Ito mods the only smallish thing we did was to add a 220V plug next to the right hand side "rear facing" cupboard (the cupboard facing you when you lie on the bed)

Thanks for all the congratulations guys. We have packed our stuff in the new caravan and will go and kick the Tyres this coming Wednesday. Can't wait.
AllanDrover we want the same memories as you did with yours...already planning.
Johan, Done...tapatalk did not show any signatures so I had to log online.
LouisF...thanks will see if I can manage to weigh it...
George, can't agree with you more. As far as I know the changes include the 2 new hatches, one at the bathroom side and one on the kitchen side, new cupboards on either sides of the nose fold out bed area. They also went back to the earlier model stabilizers stored at the back next to the spare wheel now. The upright for the rally tent now has a removable bracket...does not chafe the tent bag anymore at the bottom and the tank is 100 liters now. The nose on the 2013/2014 model already went fiberglass but with an aluminum door, on mine the whole nose is fiberglass now. The website is still not updated so if you need any pictures just ask.
Diedies...uitstekende idee. Ek het nog nie ekstra tent nie en sit sommer my pale in die sak as ek die tent oprol. Sodra ek die wall set Koop sal ek moet kyk vir so iets.
Enjoy the weekend!

Yip, Jurgens do middle of the year product changes. Mid 2013 they did some small changes (ie the fibre glass nosecone door and canvas nose blanket) that mine has. Just after I got mine I was worried that they might be making lots of changes in the mid 2014 model, but luckily not to many. I like the little extra compartments inside, although without it you can almost use the caravan like the Excel model where someone can sleep left to right.
I wonder why they changed back to the loose steadies. I prefer the built in ones, but I suppose the loose ones might be a bit more sturdy in heavy offroad locations. The bigger water tank is pretty nice though.

Our aim is to sell our Regal and get an Xplorer, in the meantime we enjoy the Regal![]()

Heating and hot water system running on gas or 230V.
Solar panel
