Fix it with superglue and baking soda. Sand it smooth and spray over.
Rather fix on inside to reduce sanding visibility.

Good day guys
I am looking for one of these outside lights. Preferably not from the caravan suppliers. The outer silver closure plate is cracked, that's all I need.
But I will take a whole light if it is available.
Thanks and cheers

Hi everyone!
After searching through this thread multiple times without finding exactly what I needed, I decided to join and ask directly.
Has anyone here undertaken a rebuild of an Xplorer caravan (specifically the 2003/2004 models)? I’m currently replacing the wooden framework with aluminum tubing and updating the side panels to composite materials.
If anyone has done a similar project, I'd really appreciate any insights or lessons learned from your experience. I'm hoping to avoid a few common pitfalls and make the process as smooth as possible.
I’ve also been documenting the teardown process with plenty of photos and measurements, so if anyone’s interested, I’m happy to share!
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi I am in the process to replace my xplorer 1999 roofskirting. Having a new one made.
Has anyone had it done?
I need a cost estimate please.

For my engineering work I have done many surveys and drawings of existing items.
One of the best ways is to use digital camera, measuring tape, calculator and some drawing program.
Put measuring tape on the item. Take a picture of the item at 90 degr to the surface so that the tape is in the picture. Transfer the image to the drawing program. You can now draw a circle on the curve or digitize it if not circle. Dimension the circle and using the tape as a scale, e.g. measure 100 mm or longer distance on the tape.
To digitize put points on the curve. Then download one of the free digitizing programs. They are often used to digitize graphs to get some factors (This where I have used them). You will get mathematical formula for the curve. As you have the tape for scale formula will give very accurate X/Y co-ordinate on any point on the curve.
Similar methods can be used to dimension all shapes.
I used this method since good quality 3 Megapixel cameras did come to the market. Below that the tape was not readable. The trick is to get that 90 degree right. It is easier for scaling if that tape is horizontal or vertical.
Edit: If you digitize you actually do not need the drawing program. Just the image. Last time I used either:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/plotdigitizer/files/
or GraphGrabber
