Ons het 'n 2008 Jurgens Explorer en geniet die wa terdee!
Het ook die neus verander in 'n uitswaai tent. Baie groter as die nuwe modelle s'n. Amper so breed soos die karevaan self.
Kroeg ingebou en tafel laat monteer aan tent kant.
Ook vir my 'n nuwe tent and side wall stel gekoop. Geniet die tent baie!
Beste verandering wat ek gedoen het was om vir my 'n custom cutlery sak te maak wat in die deur hang. Life saver!!
As jou krane begin lol, is dit die micro switch wat moeilikheid gee. Moenie die kraan vervang nie. Nuwe kraan kos R1 000 plus terwyl micro switcht R20 kos.

It is not what you buy its what you build.
Hi Sennin, plse post some close up pics of the kitchen pull out with how mechanism works. Im in Somerset West & nobody here seems to be able to do the mod for me. I am even prepared to do it myself if I can just see how the mechanism works. (some guys say you have to cut the kitchen cupboard in half but yours has been well done with the whole cupboard still in one piece.)

Will do so with pleasure, but will only be the weekend. In short they have added an additional rail onto the existing slide out rail. And then restricted the original rail to only extend that 400mm needed for the cupbourd to clear (instead of cutting the cupbourd shorter)

Nice work Sennin! Excellent mods! Also interested in kitchen modification. My fridge is a bit shy and remains inside the van ..... Looking to lure him out!
I have a bar where you have the plates. Also contemplating whether I should use the area better.

Great! Thank you. I look forward to your pics.
I recently added an access hatch to the side of my Xplorer so I could access the storage space under the back left bunk from outside. (ie. without breaking up the double bed inside.)
I used a 250mm x 600mm plastic marine hatch which cost R400.00 (obviously marine hatches are waterproof & dust proof...)
this has given me a huge amount of extra packing space that I was not using effectively.![]()

Help, anyone out there who knows how to get rid of an airlock in the water system, its a 2014 Xplorer and I can't get water either side(shower or basin) and it won't drain at the rear any advice on refilling would also be welcome![]()

I have found the following helps if you have an air lock while the tank is full. Open the bottom drain tap and then open both the kitchen and the bath rooms taps at the same time. This seems to get rid of the air locks. Once the lock is out close the drain tap and all should be fine.
For filling I just put the hose pipe in as deep as it will go and open the tap. The water would typically run back out the filler cap for a few seconds but then it would "blow" out the filler as the air lock releases after which it fills smoothly. Opening the taps as per top paragraph while filling sometimes also helps.
Hope that helps!

Mine had similar symptoms when we bought it. Turned out to be the breather pipe that wasn't installed properly. It had a few kinks and curls where water would accumulate - blocking the airflow.
I straightened and tied it up properly and have never had an issue since.

Here's the update on the slide out kitchen modification as was requested:
1. The original rails were widened, the door skirting was cut to facilitate the extra space. So your kitchen door must be fully opened to allow the kitchen to slide out:
Rear(Left):
Front(Right):
Then there is a sling used to stop the original slide from sliding out more than 30cm (I will exchange this with a chain)
An addition slide is then installed inside the original slide, hope you can see the old on the outside with new one inside (with release lever)
Also the pipes are re-located to the bottom with quick release fittings. Gas, Hot and cold water. I'm going to take the pipes back into the caravan and use a bungee type cord to do pipe management, as I'm not too keen on the quick connect and dis connect as I forgot it once already and tried to push in the kitchen with them still connected)
The cabinet was also sliced to fit in and today I realised the kitchen sink support doesn't fit anymore, will phone brian tomorrow regarding this.
also I am not too happy about the front fold out bed, there is a massive step, roughly 7cm between the old bed surface and the fold out section:
also I'm not too sure how the fold out bed extra cover work, have additional poles but dont know where they fit in, Brian will have to explain
Also I fitted some 265/75R16 Rims and Tyres to the van, including the two spare wheels, spacers are on order to give lift and ensure the wheels don't rub on full upward travel
