Default Jurgens Xplorer Fan Club- V6 Amarok with the Explorer, first try!

    Very happy with this combination!!
The sag on the back blades very minimal (20mm), consumption at 110 to 120 km/h was 7.2 km/l.
And obviously loads of power!! Overtaking was a breeze!

    How does the V6 tow?

Your consumption is close to what I get with the 2L. I get around 7.5 km/l (note that the BL is lighter than the explorer).

Iets spesiaals!!

Dankie, goed om die verskil te hoor tussen die 2 en dat jy altwee gehad het.

So die upgrade is die moeite werk as dit by sleep kom?

After a year of ownership, two trips in the Imagine Comfortvan with grandchildren, we realised that a future with grandchildren camping with us the Comfortvan would not make the grade! So we are back in the Explorer fold!

The rear hatch is from CI/Jurgens Factory - and comes from the new 2017 Xcape. I asked for 250mm deep.
The front hatch also, but is just the lower fridge hatch, flipped 90 degrees

The rear bed is the exact size of a Queen bed now, after the mods - so no issue at all

Installation was done by Kempton Caravans (Clive)

    Hi all
I'm starting to look in to the Xplorer for my parents who want to go from offroad trailer to offroad caravan.

My biggest concern with the Xplorer is the weight, not so much concern for towing my dad drives a v6 Hilux, more a concern for handling the van, especially moving it around in and out its parking spot at home.

    Questions:
    1. I read in this thread that a few people have motorized movers on their vans, do these really work and will it work on a sloped driveway? Can a single person manoeuver the van with the help of one of these movers even turn the van around on a sloped driveway? Does these movers offer braking to keep the van from running away should something go wrong while moving it around?
    2. From which model Xplorer did they come with the slide out fridge which can take a 90 l National Luna?
    3. I understand older model Xplorers had a awning with only 1 or 2 loose poles, the other poles was attached and rolled up with the awning. Which models was this, I like the idea of only 1 or 2 loose poles for the main awning to make setup as quick and simple as possible. If needed for longer stays more setup with more poles will be fine, but for 80% of the time the only thing they'll use is that front awning and I want the setup to be really simple.

Any specific reason, should I be concerned? These days I spend most of my forum time on MyBB.

    Nice!

    What awning is that?
Is it much easier to setup compared to the original?
Does it have any side protection?
It's not leaking oil, it's sweating power!
