Guys, thank you for this thread. I read this whole thread from the beginning to the end and I must say that I just can't stop drooling.

I was really uncertain about weather to get myself an Explorer or just strip down and redo my old Echo 3.

The proof is in the pudding... I now know what we will be doing!!!

Can anyone send me a pic of how to build the puzzle (main bed) of a 2007 model?

    Default Xplorer modifications

We have the 2011 Xplorer and like the changes on the 2015 model, so am going to have the extra cupboards fitted. Kempton Caravans have been very helpful

I see you tow/towed yours with a 2dr Wrangler. Was the vehicle stable enough with the van in tow? Heard of a couple of scares from old Wrangler customers of mine towing big(ish) vans on long hauls.

Asking because this might be the combination I will be upgrading to in the near future....

    ~ Update ~

Opened the Xcape's light switch, only the two wires, so I'll just leave the double switch.

Did a neat little LED light in the kitchen which is more than enough.

    Cheers

Just remember that if you have a Jurgens warranty it would be voided by fitting a towbar.

Default Explorer Marks on the Canvas of PoP up Roof

    Hi All,

Any one know how to safely get marks of the canvas sides of the pop up roof of the explorer with out affecting the water proofing of it?

    Advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks

Front to fridge deep freeze opening? I you stand in the caravan, looking at the fridge, the front is open on our second hand Xplorer. Was there supposed to by a cover? Did anyone use that space differently? We have a 2014 model. At the end of the fridge section is a small opening, in the back a door to get into the shower "guts". Anyone used that space better?

The small fold up "scissors legs" table fits into the space in front of the fridge below the lift up portion of the front bed. Once you remove the table there is a grey netting that fits in that space connected with Velcro. This keeps most of the creepy crawlers out. I also have a 2014 and for some reason the grey netting was delivered with the Velcro on the wrong side so the suppliers had to fix it. Pertaining to the opening on the right hand side of the fridge, I have purchased a porta potty from Campworld that fits perfectly in that space.

We fit the bed table in front of the fridge, this is due to the fact that we sleep in the front tent section and only use the rear table when the weather turns foul. Side section also used for porta pottie storage

My 2011 Xplorers net was also supplied with velcro on the
    Wrong side.
Removed that and dont use it anymore - installed a door
made from net to cover the gap where the fridge slides
out and zip it close and open to get fridge drawer out and
in. Because the empty space below the bed is used for
shoes etc It also keeps out monkeys etc
