Good Morning all!
Just taken possession of our 1st ever caravan, a 2005 Xplorer.....a dream come true!!
Upgraded from a Camp Tech trailer. Bought our Xplorer from a passionate owner who has upgraded to a newer model.
Can't wait for our 1st trip somewhere here in the E Cape........not too keen on a dry trip without adequate refreshments but I'm sure there are sufficient concealment spots within the Xplorer!!
Does anyone perhaps have a set of side & front panels for the awning suitable for this model.......or advise where I could obtain.

Which awning is fitted to your Xplorer? There are a couple of different awning fitted to the different models of Xplorer's.
Maybe post some photos of the awning so we can see what you have.

Happy travels.

In some models there is quite a good place where the geyser is. In mine it is in the bottom of a cupboard. "Shelve" over the space comes off by lifting using a bent wire. We did some wiring in that space plus had to sort out one pipe.

I haven't posted on here in a while but recently paged through some of my camping photos and realized that I have had my 2003 Xplorer now for 18 years!! It has been towed by 6 different vehicles during all these years so the cars sometime differ but the one constant is the Xplorer. We have modified and updated some items over the years to fit our specific needs. I keep a good maintenance hand on the old lady and have replaced axle twice in it years, once due to it breaking between Putsonderwater and Brandvlei between Christmas and New Year(That was still the older lower weight axle) and many years later due to the fact that it started to sag a lot. Other than that no mayor expenses other than sealing of seams, bearings, grease and shock absorber for the hook up assembly and struts for the roof. We have traveled all over in it and had great family times. I am looking forward to many more years.

Here is a pic of my Xplorer and my traveling buddy's taken two years ago when Google maps got us a bit lost, great fun!

Hi All

I am thinking about selling my Xplorer and have no idea what its value is. We purchased the van in August 2016 as a demo model, it was a display model at Durban Caravans and first registered by Jurgens in 2015 for this purpose. It is in immaculate condition, lives in a garage when not on a trip, also with a dust cover to keep the sun off it when the garage door is open. Has many extras: full awning plus extension, all awning sides, heat shields for awning and extension to keep area under awning cool, Ewiks caravan mover, led outside lights wired for blue or white light (blue to keep insects away), add-a-room, tent-pole holder x 2, jockey wheel bracket when travelling, trailer cuff to prevent unhitching on rough roads and for security, fitted mattress protector and sheets, kitchen and bathroom basin with plug and drain pipe and 2 x 20 litre waste water containers, USB charging points internally, plus a few other odds and ends in addition to the standard Xplorer items (fridge, inside and outside table etc).

Durban caravans closed so can't chat to them, would have to schlep up to Natal Caravans and Marine in Pinetown for them to take a look. I know some of the members here will be able to offer guidance before I make a decision.

Just returned from our Booizynkraal week, gosh I did not think these vans were up to being towed up and down mountains. Only "damage" is a torn wheel flap that landed between a rock and the van I also managed to hit a bad rut at speed in the gravel road no damage and everything still in place like when we packed it not even a open hatch door. These are sort of heavy but sturdy vans, I'm keeping mine
