    Default New Wheels

After a mishap driving into my garage, my Scott has a dicky frame and after much soul-searching I have taken the plunge to replace.

It arrived, finally on Thursday, with a "healthy" snotneus. So, it's here but I can't ride it this weekend. Bummer!!

    Cannondale Scalpel 29 3 XL.

And, No, I did not get discount because there is only one front shock!

Don't let those that bought in to the 27.5 tech hear you!
IFS is like a swambo, soft, sexy and expensive!

Apparently I need to make the airplane noises like mommy does when I try to spoon feed you the info..

I hope you got a bit of discount on it. I see someone already bent the middle pipe between the steering and the seat.

I also see its white, is it by chance a Toyota Hilux?

    No not really.
A 29'er is good in some places but both the 26 and 27.5 have areas where they excel. Currently 26 inch wheels still pretty much dominate the top level downhill scene and 27.5 looks like making a big showing in enduro and all mountain riding.

    Awesome bike you bought.

I had a look at them in a shop last week but I had to contact wesbank for financing on 1 of those so I passed instead. One day when I'm big.

29er soft-tails are def the way to go if you going to be doing MTB races and technical single track.

I'm 1.91m tall and the 27.5 just didn't feel as comfy as the 29er for me and my 26er needed upgrading so i wasn't gonna buy another 26er.

I do however feel that its time that I upgrade to a soft-tail 29er.

OK so the machine has been in my Garage for 7 days, and due to me contracting the dreaded lurgy it has still not been ridden.

It's going to Gariep, so will get a few K's on it there.
