    Default Side Slope Angle

The Amarok can do a side slope of 50 degrees standard.

We did a 44.1 degree slope this weekend with a 35mm lift and roofrack.

Side slopes are fine until -

    You start sliding.

You debead a tyre on the down side.

You are at the limit and the top wheel goes over a rock or the bottom wheel falls in a hole or rut.

Your load shifts. Ie not tied down.

I think your body starts freaking out at about 32+ degrees. so hence we should all be safe until then,
Loaded roof racks also dodgy in theses instances,

for steeper angles, a ticket on a roller coaster ride will suffice.

Many people get an uneasy feeling at about 15 degrees, most at 20, and anything after 25 feels seriously uncomfortable for anybody. Tht 'Rok must have a seriously low centre of gravity.

Correct -- at 17, there is a good chance you will put your hands out

The Land Rover experience training course side slope in Durban is 20 deg.

    Most people freak.

The only comfort I have is watching people in front of me doing it and thinking, no matter how I feel, if he is OK, I will be OK.

On the Rovers I lower the suspension to lowest to lower the COG.

To be fair, all four wheels needs to be on the slope to qualify as 44degrees, where the Bakkie stands in pic one there is no chance of tipping over. Hopefully the video can sow that
