Sorry if I sound like a stuck grammaphone. Take your new cooler to Outdoor WH. Fit and buy some National Luna baskets that have a good fit. Try to make it two layers.
This will help a great deal in organising your cooler box. But more importantly, keep it organised. You will never again have to unpa k the box to get to the chees or the ice packs or whatever at the bottom, and will keep the open time to a minimum.
You can thank me later
And start off with a cooled down cooler box, before first time packing.
I use those square 2 liter Aloe drink bottles as ice packs.

To be honest - my Romer cooler box is not in use for some time now, and is hanging from the garage roof.
Reason being that, in spite of all my clever ideasit can become a real mission to manage that box and it temps for a long period. When we went to the KTP during Oct 2020 for three weeks with temps over 45, you really have to keep your wits together. And I hate beer that is not ice cold
So I sold the 65l single door Snomaster and replaced it with a 95l double door. It takes up a smaller footprint and keeps everything at the correct temperature.
So, if at all possible, consider that route which you eventually wiil in the long run.
But, if I remember I will take down the Romer and give some phodies - and the basket numbers.
I must actually try this, I have a set of plastic NL baskets as well as a set of stainless NL baskets for the 90l, which is not in use while at home.
I don't often use my Romer for longer trips though, on 99% of trips I have a fridge which does the heavy lifting, then the Romer just gets filled with ice, or ice and extra beer, so no clever organizing needed then. Same goes for a weekend braai / kuier, usually it's drinks, bag or 2 of ice on top of that and then the pack of meat on top, no need for organizing anything.
On cooler only trips which happens from time to time, it could come in handy though.

My Romer 45 got stolen this past weekend and it's the first thing I'm replacing.
I haven't kept a eye on their pricing in the last while, is this R1750 from Loot a really a special price or is it normal? https://www.loot.co.za/product/romer...B&gclsrc=aw.ds
I see Takealot no longer have all sizes, I wonder if that's just a stock thing, either way, I don't mind buying from Loot.
If they go lower than R1750 I'll wait a while, but waiting till Christmas time will be too long.
I preferably want Kalahari Sand again, most in my circle of friends is green and grey.

I decided to order from Loot for R1750 after I saw them at Chamberlains yesterday for over R1800.
