Default SWAMBO and other acronyms used on this site

    Hi all.

I've by now figured out that SWAMBO is your wife - but where does it come from? There is also a couple of other accronyms on this site that I am not sure about such as IMHO, M2CW etc.

Could somebody please explain to me, and maybe other new users, what all these stand for?

My SWAMBO when I first asked her what she thought it was, answered with a straight face "sex, washing and making bed officer", she is a proper SWAMBO.

I've known it to be "humble" for 20+ years. The jargon file also has it as "humble", and that has been around longer than most of SA has even had Internet access.
