Made a double sided flood light that clamps in to a U channel. One side has a yellow light and the other end the normal bright white light. It folds in half so that it can be stored in trailer.

More info on the cooker cushion mentioned above:

Sometimes you need to keep things hot or [U]cook[U] with minimal use of power or gas - we have a practical solution for that too.
Inspired by the original box lined with hay (dry grass) as insulation used by the early South African Voortrekkers in their ox wagons as they journeyed across the country off road (there were no roads at the time!)
The modern equivalent uses polystyrene beads as insulation.
These are home made and have been “in production” for some 40 years now as a home based micro enterprise by Erica (my spouse) has also become known as “Erica’s Microwave” to some.

The “Haybox” / Dual purpose Cooker and keep Cool Cushion

Significant savings on power gas or electricity as applicable.
Instructions on use with product or by request.

PM me for more info. if interested.

That looks great, just a pity you're so far away! And that pumpkin in the photo cut open like a pot with the seed removed and the cavity filled with some nice mince, onions and potato would be just the kind of dish for it, right!?

Perhaps not a mod, but I regularly charge my Fortuner double battery system with an external 10A CTEK charger - gives me improved battery life.

I just cut rings out of old inner tubes that is for free from the tire shops (orange ones).
Cut them approx. 35-45 mm wide.

When they break just dump them and put a new one in, carry some spares with where ever we go.
Also handy to tie things down.

If you need something weaker or shorter, use bicycle tube. Different widths gives different strengths. I use 20mm for the shower ropes.

Didn't even know tyre shops still had that many old tubes to give away. I do have an old bicycle tyre tube that I got from a bicycle shop for another purpose though, but imo it would probably offer too little stretch for this purpose. Maybe a fat bike's tube would work...

They do work well,at a price!

We have been camping since kids and those days the inner tube was the solution with the wooden pegs and ropes.
If you do not slack them in the evening they all pulled out during the night due to the dew.

Tubes still work well and are for free, one last me about 7-8 years.
Cut them up, put some powder on them and store in a dark place.

Just getting a bit difficult in finding them.
