The quote on the Air France 447 wiki page seems familiar:

In May 2011, Wil S. Hylton of The New York Times commented that the crash "was easy to bend into myth" because "no other passenger jet in modern history had disappeared so completely without a Mayday call or a witness or even a trace on radar." Hylton explained that the A330 "was considered to be among the safest" of the passenger aircraft.

Seeing as you know so much about hijacking, explain why this one is so secret?

Besides the US authorities are describing the stolen passport issue as consistent with human trafficking, not hijacking.

LAM Flight 470. Hijacked 29 Nov 2013. Went missing, just not arrived at destination. Wreckage was found the following day.

No secret, you can make a aircraft disapear of all radar. If you crash 4000km from your last know position they not going to find you the next day.

interesting twist, families can make phonecalls to some of the passengers and get a ringtone. 1 pasengers phone is still connected to a chinese social media site. so hijacking seems very possible. just interesting noone has spoken up yet to claim responsibility if hijacked or if blownup. and if it self destructed why are cellphones still active...

Step one on a hijacking: confiscate all cell phones.
Probably they ARE negotiating but we aren't being told.

this to me is proof it crashed or crash landed on land, not into the ocean. very few mobile phones would not be in flight mode or switched off, and vey few modern phones would have a battery life of 3 days, so i suspect a few phones were left on and is ringing in some jungle somewhere.

doubt it. the search costs more (think i read 40 aircraft searching) than what any terrorist would want, plus they would want to get the worlds attention to boast.

this is not a high jacking in my opinion, or at least not a successful high jacking

If you can ring it - You can triangulate it. Just a thought.

No you'll need two towers minimum and then it will still be an approximation.

    Not...

Some phones may start ringing on the originating side, while the network looks for the terminating phone, starting where it was last located, only terminating the attempted call when it cant find it. This may take up to 10 seconds. Some phones don't start ringing until it can find the terminating phone. It wont ring on the other side.

To me this is not proof of anything. It's just a factor of how some smartphones work.

With modern tracking systems available nowadays it boggles my mind that they don't have an exact flight recording at port that could tell them the planes last known exact point.

No, it means damaged beyond economical repair. BA 747 had the wing damaged enough on the ground while taxing at ORTIA for them to consider taking a hull loss

the sad reality that the industry needs to explain here, is how it loses a multi million dollar , state of the art aircraft, with 227 fare paying citizens of various countries.

i can send and receive text messages via the onboard system from the other side of the world during flight.

so why cant it send gps info in case of emergency
