    Yup, she is mine.
I never said I dislike all BMW's - all my arguments against them still stand.

People flock to the 1200GS without considering alternatives. I still say, try the others. Go ride them before you just go "1200GS is the best bike ever"
I would have taken a Yamaha 750-800, or Suzuki rather than a BMW if they made anything remotely similar as I still believe they make more reliable motorcycles.
I still think not admitting that the early 650GS forks were a massive safety hazard and should have had a recall, was very bad form by BMW.
I still don't like shaft drives.
I still have a mate that had a F800GS that would not start if it remotely looked like rain as well as a mate who's 1200GS's ABS keeps acting up and this with a helluva repair bill.
I still feel that having a rattling clutch in neutral for a "premium" bike on the F800 is almost unforgivable. And yes, the all do that it's normal.

My needs changed as I wanted a more of a 50/50 on offroad bike that i can still do long distance with. The Vstrom 650 is a hellova bike...it is arguably a better road bike than the F800GS.... but offroad it's not very happy.

Unfortunately no Japanese manufacturer makes anything like the BMW F800GS/Triumph Tiger 800XC (Relatively light for CC's, 21" front wheel, ABS, high Ground clearance.) and of those two I preferred what I get for the money in the F800GS

I can be pretty objective if I want to be

    Very.

I am just glad that you bought the best bike. IMHO.
