    Rest in Peace
My GS was my best friend, not a day went by that i didn't use her to work, i had a huge smile everyday.
Truck swerved infront of me Tuesday and just drove off. no one even stopped to help, the robot changed twice before someone stopped.
Thanks to a full kit i only lost my knee temporarily

That is crap, but any crash you can walk or hobble away from is a good one.

I have the exact same bike and colour. Sorry to see yours like that, but yes, any bike accident that turns out well for you is much better than the alternative. Hope the insurance treats you fairly.

I'm glad you're ok but disappointed in the South Africans who don't even bother to stop to assist.

It looks like cosmetic damage only, but knowing BMW, that can cost a LOT to repair. Do you know what the damage is?

And then for my own curiosity, would crash bars have saved the bike? I don't have crash bars but are now seriously considering a set.

    I really don't get that...

Why wouldn't people stop to help a fellow human being?? That is disgusting!

Glad you're kind of okay. The bike can be replaced, you not so much...

Pic of my leg. I think that is the part that hit the truck. It must have been the pressure between bike/truck because the pants were so tough they couldn't cut it with scissors. Off for atleast 6 weeks now.
The insurance will be fine, there is s witness who saw the truck hit me and saw him drive away.
Bmw stopped with the quote when it got to R110 000.
Word of advice, insure your gear. I lost a full bmw kit, rain coat(attached to side) top box, boots helmet, Bluetooth etc. so a few grand worth of stuff.
I hope my leg heals so that I can get a red one
