Why would a sane person be willing to spend R90K-R140k on cosmetic changes and not bother with ratios / suspention upgrades etc ? Sorry ,but his reminds me of a mall crawler.
Rather spend a R140k on a modded TJ that will leave any AT behind.
CarloJK many people do many strange things with their own money.
If you do the conversion and want ratios done that's your prerogative.
But remember the people who do the mods do what the client wants. So no use blaming them.![]()
Variety is the spice of life!
Most people do mods for cosmetic purposes, no matter how much they might try BS themselves that it is not the case. Most people have no clue what the purpose and correct usage of most mods/accessories are.
Arctic Trucks is on to a winner in SA because city slickers will queue up to get this sort of thing. And ignorant DIYers will do their best to emulate the "mods"
My personal opinion. There is zero NEED for an arctic truck type mod in southern africa, and it's just opportunism to cash in on the "prevailing market" ie people who will by this stuff

Just out of interest, they took one of the original & proper Arctic Trucks, that was used to travel to the Pole, to some dunes somewhere. It popped an axle on the first dune.
Some media pics of the Arctic G-Wagon

I don't know about the price, but have to say I really like the look of the Amarok and g wagon. If I had all the cash in the world I would do those conversions and add some extras!
Well I lie, if I had all the cash in the world I would probably go much bigger than that :-)
R250k?
LoL!

"And what will this sort of conversion set you back? "To give your G300 the exact conversion we did here will cost around R250000. For someone who can spend R1 million on a G300, we think this will be an tempting offer" "
Verbatim from the article. Is their info wrong?

Unbelievably there seem to be no shortage of customers willing to drop R100k on these conversions.
Currently there is a Ranger and a DC Cruiser being converted
