you only need to take out the memory card and put it into the adapter and into your laptop. you do not need the camera nd gps....

I have a few questions on the dash cam:
- I have another device that has to use the 12v lighter adapter in my car as it has no internal battery. How long does the battery on the EE Dash Cam usually last if fully charged. Alternatively, can one get a 12V adapter that can take 2 cigarette lighter devices plugged in to the car's one lighter point?
- Does the GPS work when the EE Dash Cam is only running on battery power, i.e. not powered by the lighter adapter. When I charge the battery through the USB cable on my laptop the GPS satellite icon displays on the bottom right. However, as soon as the power is remove the icon disappears?
Thanks.

The Bigger the Problem, the Bigger the Hammer!
All I ultimately did was use medium loctite on the ball joint. Squeezed some in there, tightened up, stuck it on windscreen and adjusted to correct angle. Left it to 'set'. It hasn't come loose or required adjustment in months. Even if it falls off the windscreen every now and again, the angle doesn't change and I just take care to put it back on windscreen without forcing the joint which will 'break' the bond so to speak.

Can anyone help please?
The recordings with my EagleEye dash cam when played with either Media Player or supplied software looks like it is buffering, similar to the effect when one forwards DSTV for instance. The first 3 to 4 seconds appear smooth, but then the buffering effect starts. I have checked all the settings - Time Lapse is set to Off.
Could it relate to processor speed of the laptop I am using? Any other settings on the software maybe?
Thanks.

Yes - seems to be the problem. Thanks - will upgrade laptop. Played it through my TV and looks perfect.
Got some awesome video of the new Kyalami Track on the dash cam. Probably did around 40 laps of the new circuit yesterday. A really world class facility and track that Toby Venter has put up. Really great that he got to buy the track and continue/resurrect motorsport in SA/Gauteng. Could have been townhouses or retail on that site, which would have been a real pity. Track is awesome.

Hi
I've been using the eagle-eye for about a month or so now- one in my car and one in SWAMBO's. Less issues with hers, as she only drives to work and back, all seems to record fine, and her suzuki's power outlets also switches on/off with the vehicle ignition.
I have a few comments and questions - replies would be appreciated.
- The flickering light when it is recording. Sometimes it flickers blue, others times red and blue together. Does anyone know why? Do I need to do something when it is only blue or blue and red together?
- The G-sensor setting is at "low" but it seems to lock some old files automatically, which frustrates me tremendously when it has a couple of big locked files from previous dates and thus only space for one loop recording that is very small. For instance, I needed to look at a clip from this morning, but it had 18/19 and 20 June saved/locked, nothing for all of 21st and then today, but only the last 2-3 hours.
- The power plugs in my Wild Trak seems to be permanently on, as the camera does not switch off after the vehicle has been switched off - the blue light at the power adapter shines blue even after locking the car - so I operate the dashcam manually by plugging in when I drive off and plugging out when I park - this is a bit of a schlep as I do forget often to either plug it in or out.
- 5 hours on a 32 gig card is not much - I expected to see some footage of my gamedrive in Pilanesberglast week, but when I got home, I only had 2 locked days' files from a week ago - (grrrrr, I did not lock it, or if I did, I do not know how I did it).... and the last hour and a half of my highway trip home. No game drive footage. Nadda Nuttin'
- I now bought 2 extra memory cards to prevent a repeat of above.
- I see that memory card speeds differ - the standard one it comes with (Sandisk) is a class 4, but the one I bought at Incredible connection (Samsung) is class 10. Does this make any difference?
If you have answers on some of my issues, I will appreciate the feedback.

Class 4 is incorrect, sending you a PM.
