    Default 2014 Triton 4x4 D/C

    Gents,

Whats the consensus on the new Triton 4x4 D/C ie ride quality, fuel consumption, overall build quality, reliability etc...

I am considering one of these....also looking at the Ford 2.2 4x4 D/C

Ride is very comfy, consumption varies but avearging 10km/l.There is no problem with reliability. The 2.5 has proven itself, but as with many 2.5s it does suffer some turbo lag on pullaway.
I think comfort wise the ford would top it though, but the triton is a more car like ride and because it is not as big as other bakkies it parks easily and has a very small turning circle. Its also very good offroad.
    Nice problem you have chosing

My 2010 Triton has electric rear also, has this been dropped in the 2014 model?

    Hahahaahahaha....

Ja man.... ek ry nie die bakkie nie... My vrou doen

Fuel consumption was very good in te begining... 12km/l average... But the modifications caused it to drop to 9.5-10km/l...

When loaded (canopy, RTT, towing a Jetski)... it drops to around 7.5km/l

This weekend... FULLY loaded... Canopy, drawer system, RTT (BAD wind resistance), 4 Adults, towing an Imagine Comfortvan (1.3 ton)... 6-6.5 km/l.

Superselect is awesome though... and the ONLY other d/cab with a similair feature, is the Amarok...

Turbo Lag is bad up until 1800-2000 RPM... But once the turbo kicks in, it pulls like a train... definitely more power than the 3.2... But I suspect the 3.2 to have less turbo lag...
