    Question Chevrolet Utility 1.3 diesel

    Hi

My wife and I love camping and go camping quite often. Currently I drive a Mazda 2 1.3 and towing a trailer is no easy task. Struggle with the hills and passing cars.

I am considering getting the Chevrolet Utility 1.3 diesel as this has 170Nm torque and 55KW. I am worried about the low KW rating.

Will this "bakkie" be worthwhile getting for towing? Will this be a big improvement on my current Mazda?

I was looking at getting like a Mitsibushi Triton 2.5d but this is a bit out of my price range for now.

Dont really want to end up paying more than R200k for a vehicle.

    I appreciate the help.

    Thanks
    Louritz

With 170 nm it depents on big / swaar the trailer are if the trailer is a campmaster/ venter trailer the 170NM will do it for you

You mentioned not spending more than R200k , well for R150k and even less you can get a decent 2nd hand vehicle that is much better equipped for towing than any of the two vehicles you mentioned , and even get something that is more capable off-road as well.
Good luck , and my advise.....think little bit bigger!

Scared of doing this where vehicle has hectic fuel consumption or service and maintenance fees. You have any examples of something that would be decent to look at in this range?
