    Default Jurgens Xplorer wading depth

    Hi guys,

Having searched the net and not found any info regarding it, does anyone know what the wading depth on a Jurgens Xplorer is?
Is it only till the body, or are the doors and kitchen opening water sealed too?
There are sockets on the exterior, so that would be the limit height should the body be water sealed.

I haven't seen official figures neither. The doors have good sealing rubbers, but the fridge slide not as much. I'd imagine the bottom of the fridge slide to be the limit, although I'd use the bottom of the door as a good measurement to avoid the wiring underneath the floor from getting submerged.

I was thinking the same, though that isn't very much of a wading ability then.

Ja, this rarely something we consider. The depth of the water is seriously something to consider especially when you get stuck in the water crossing. Flooded Explorer is going to ad some weight

Don't the Explorers have a wooden floor?

My guess is, if you dip that wood in water often enough.......................mmmmm Wood rot!

    Yes, they do.
There is also a socket for the fridge in the fridge compartment, which would short everything and so fort.

Having a wading depth of ~350mm is low when you're vehicle can do ~600mm.

350mm is nothing deep really. I sure hope I'm incorrect and the wading depth is more.

I shall mail Jurgens to get a response and post the feedback.

    update on mail from jurgens

    Hi Aadil,

The wading depth is up to the doors. We have however driven through river crossings etc where the water is above door level & successfully not had water intake.

The secret here is to not stop moving when traveling through water.
