    Default Anyone in Plating business ?

    I am always looking for someone do to plating , Chrome , black chrome etc


    Any forums members ?

    I really need a place that does GOOOOOD chroming, not the rubbish that peels off

    Same here. Also looking for someone who does proper plating. More interested in yellow passivate, nickel plating and the like in Pretoria.

    I have found one place a friend recommended , They still closed but will let you guys know once I had feedback from them

    I will be doing a lot of chrome with my restoration business so I will need decent work done

    I used Supreme Bumpers in Joburg when I restored my Datsun. Quality was pretty good especially compared to Sheffield. Dealing with the owner could be a bit tricky though, but worth it. FWIW, I did R26000 worth of plating by them on the Datsun.

    Oh and I put an offer in on an old Steel frame "tiekie box" in working condition but needs a new paint job . Hope to get this one

    my father had some pewter tail-light surrounds repaired and plated by these guys, they have a restoration department, did a pretty good job.

    Will do for sure, going to see an old man over the weekend who has been collecting stuff since the 60's , Hope to find some nice stuff from him.

    Ok so I got a few quotes damn this is expensive , Maybe gold plating is cheaper hehe

    I got quotes just under 1000 rand for two badges 10 cm long and bout 5mm wide , One handle about 20 cm long and a cover to go around it about 23 cm long

    Ok, I actually expected it to be worse. Suppose it depends on the quality of the plating that you get for you money. Also, I have heard that the really good plating guys can take up to 6 months to get stuff done due to backlogs.

    well the long term plan is to do all my own stuff for my business

    but before I do a plating setup , I am for sure doing a Hyrdrografix dip
