My skoonma en skoonpa was Brolloks en Bittergal. Bittergal is nou nie meer met ons nie. Hulle het geweet ek noem hulle so.

    Default batterye

    Enige idees welkom.

We moved my batteries to the back section behind the water tanks and installed the pump in between the water tanks, Henk (hbannink) made that plan on mine.

My two batteries lie there without the charging goodies, I would take a pic but there's a hail storm here now which I'm not prepared to walk through

Go look at post #790 for a picture of how battery setup looks in the back of the maxi

    Default batterye

    Default The Old Trailer

    Hi Henk,

Hope you and Heinz are well?

Just to let you know we have taken the 'old trailer' on an epic trip from Livingstone to Chobe to Hwange to Milibizi where we caught the ferry to Kariba and then Mana Pools. From Mana we took her back into Gwabi, Zambia and via Choma back to Livingstone. That is not all. She has been to Chobe twice and Hawange over Christmas.

November we took her to Liuwa and due to the light weight of the trailer had no problems despite the rains setting in and the plains beginning to flood.

Back to Hwange the week after next.. It is an excellent trailer and we are very happy with her!

    Regards
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Please post some photos as I'm really jealous? You may just be an entrant in one of Heinz' upcoming competitions.

We've been to Chobe and Mana Pools last year and it was amazing.

You guys must not be misled by my picture as below in post #790 as to the available space in the back of the Metalian. My load area at the back is 100mm wider than the standard Metalian which left me with enough space to fit a Sureflo pump between the 2 x 105 A/hr batteries. I will be fitting 2 of these batteries to a standard Metailan this coming weekend, I will give feedback and post some picks when done.

    Hi Chris!

How nice hearing from you and from our "old" trailer!

I'm so glad that she is serving you well, it was a very reluctant sale because I loved her dearly.
Heinz and Henk knows, it took some convincing.

    Please post some pics??

Hi Heinz, on your website you have a green Mini, I believe, with an amazing set of wheels. Can you tell me where those wheels were purchased? If you did not supply the wheels, can you maybe put me in touch with the owner as I want to get those for my 4x4..

    Thanks.

Does anyone maybe know if Metalian will be at the 4x4 & Outdoor show this weekend at the Voortrekker Monument in pretoria?? Is this show worthwhile to visit??
We are planning to order a Maxi soon, but would like to view it first
