Just how much packing space does this trailer have? Just wondering about things like camping chairs, luggage bags and all the other stuff a family of 5 usually drags along.

Craig, due to the design of our unique monocoque construction, trailer's pack space is huge. Below the traditional floor area is 230 mm additional depth that is normally taken up by chassis components and framework. This freed uop space is used for water tanks, batteries, tools, etcc. that don't rob you of pack volume because they're out of sight below the floor. The total pack volume is just over 3 cubic meters (3000 litres) and that excludes the nose cone that offers another 360 litres.

The concern is that you will over pack a Metalian beyond it's legal limit of 1600 kgs. Send me your email address via PM or email on [email protected] and I'll gladly forward you a set of drawings.

Looks good William but it might be a bit heavy. Seeing that your trailer was the first Metalian in Gauteng and was delivered before the stabilisers were standard issue I have a brand new set of lightweight heavy duty galvanised stabilisers with your name on whenever you want to collect, free, mahala and verniet

Absolutely correct Henk, you know ho we do things. But I have to say I quite like William's steadies / heavies . Nothings moving with them under your trailer. Looks like a "prop"-per job

Greetings Henk I received a galv set with the trailer BUT they dont fit with the gas bottle holder mounted at the rear...the scaff setup is lighter that the initial set received and fit neatly into the drawers in the trailer :-) :-) :-)

William, okay great, but just for interest, you have an original design that extends above the mounting point. We have a new design that does not do this, which is the type Henk has with him.

Sorry no, Henk recently did the LA Sport show and I'm off to Germany next weekend to show Metalian at the Allrad Show in Badkissingen. This show attracts 50 000 visitors mainly from Europe and a fair crowd from the rest of the world. Alu-cab are on show as well.

And the height and the depth, specifically for the MIDI ? I need to know if the National Luns 95L twin fridge/freezer will fit, please ?

Theo, sorry, that won't fit. Our thinking is that by the time you need a fridge that size, you're accommodating a group of four and need the Maxi. Just remember that you can take the maxi sans a nose cone and be close to the price of the Midi with the nosecone and have more pack volume and room to grow. Weight are pretty much the same.
