Are 'Steadies' the rear corner supports/levellers?

Mine are stored length-wise in the nose-cone and they just about fit although I do find them quite bulky - not that packing space is a problem

Ismail, I might be wrong (my wife tells me that a lot) but if I am not mistaken someone on this thread found a way to mount/ clamp them to the wheel carrier.
    (Henk, was it not you??)
I'll see if i can find the post.

When I first saw the design of yours, I liked the idea. Their length (and priorities ) has kept me from upgrading mine as well.

The standard ones are nice in that they are tucked under the trailer. Especially on the tent side.
But not being finely adjustable has caused a few curse words to cross my lips in family campsites trying to get the
trailer reasonable level. But that is most likely my own fault because I am overly perfectionist when camping, my wife will
    agree...

To be honest, I also thought they would be in the way, but they really are not.

I've gotten my hands on 2x Deltec 1250 High Cycle batteries. Bearing in mind that there is already a 100Ah Deep-cycle battery installed in the "cargo-hold" below the fridge, where would be the best place to install them?

Couple of pics I've seen of rear internal well. All from Maxi's with water tanks.

    Thanks Honey Badger,

In these pictures the batteries appear to be located in the back of the trailer, is this the configuration in your trailer?

Stefan, the newer models have the batteries fitted in the rear,
I chose to fit mine between the water tanks, made my own bracket.
I only have one battery in at the moment but im planning to fit another between the tanks at a later stage.

Yes, got one battery on right hand side. Still space for a second. Didn't want more weight in fridge area.
Eventually found the pics of install. One day I'll sort out a metal bracket. Must admit those straps are as tight as the day I installed them. Battery slides under the edge lip too. Insulation tape while I was testing with drawer.... nervous first-timer checking whether Heinz really did design this thing to miss those battery terminals !!! (he did)

    Any pictures of your installation?

Seems the consensus view is that the better place to fit the batteries are at the back. I'll get the necessary parts and attempt this sometime towards the end of May.

    Stephan

I placed the battery there for easier access. Behind the tanks you will need to remove the rear slider to get the battery in. I tried but there is not enough space and I dont have alot of patience. Other thing to consider is the trailer wants to tilt with 2 batteries at the back and nothing in the fridge. I like some weight on the towball. It makes towing a lot safer.

Been up at Mountain zebra park this weekend. Towed the maxi with Swambo's Jeep Cherokee 3.2. Towed it effortlessly and I think better than my Jeep wk2 3.6...

Only concern is the low nose.
