Heinz did show me a photo about three weeks ago of an award they had won as the best value-for-money camper though. Don't know if it was part of the same competition, because I haven't opened your link yet...

    Quick question....
on average, what would the weight be of a fully kitted maxi, with dual batteries, food, booze, full water tanks for 3 weeks, full gas bottles etc etc?
I am guessing 1 500 kg. Would that be a good guess?

A few years back I loaded my Maxi and we all went to a weigh bridge day. Mine weighed 1140kg.

I donít have a front nose cone but I loaded:

    Two full jerry cans
150 liters of water in my tanks
    Two bags of wood
Two cases of beer in my 90L National Luna fridge
All my bedding and gazeboís etc.
I have 2 deep cycle batteries
I have one spare wheel mounted to the front
I have the conqueror conquest tent on top, which is quite large and heavy

    I didnít pack the following:

    Clothes
    Food

    Itís surprisingly lightweight....

Ok so 1 500kg would be absolute maximum. Safe bet probably more like 1 300kg average for fully loaded?

Yes, itís not that heavy so 1300 is a safe bet unless youíre transporting lead or gold bars

Quick question wrt deep cycle batteries.

What is the best way to look after them?

Do I leave the hcdp panel on permanently when trailer not in use?

Do I plug in for a day or two once a month or bi monthly?

Do I drain the battery as far as I can and recharge fully and how often?

Or do I not do anything in between trips which can be 6 months apart?

Apologies if this has been asked and answered, but I see that some installations have a gas-bottle (for the stove) inside the trailer, while others have the gas pipe connected to the external gas bottle. What are the pros and cons of each option?

As I understand it, it's not actually legal or indeed safe for the cylinder to be inside the trailer, and if they configure the trailer in the factory to put the cylinder inside the nose-cone they partition that part of the nose-cone off and add ventilation holes in the floor. Heinz did mention something about it as well somewhere...
