Thanks Rory, cant wait to kit it out, excitement getting the better of me here.
I think I saw your post with the wood and carpet bottle holders, I'm looking at something similar with caddies on the doors.

I would of liked the Mini, but long term wise it would of been bit small so the Maxi was the way to go.

Currently doing mods on my unit - there are so many ideas on this thread and you can combine them to add your own flavour.
There is another thread called "Trailer Kitchen Mods" or something similar. It features 2 Metalian kitchens which both have a very nice layout.

I used a web of black elastic bunge cord threaded in the holes of the shelves and the sides. Works very well. Tests on realy bumpy sand road. Everything was in place. Itís like a cargo net but elasticity cord

Looks like my right side shock decided to pee out its oil.

Guess I'll need to replace. Monroe shocks. Is this still the shocks being used/recommended? Or should I be getting something else?

My question would be should you replace both and keep the other old one as a spare?
Please let us know where you source shock(s).
    Hope repair goes well!

    Hi all.
Enjoying this thread, and looking at the pics it got me interested in this trailer. I have sent a mail to Heinz, but was wondering, does the latest Maxi have adjustable (read hydraulic type) stabilizers for the back?
    Thanks!

    Glad you found the thread.
Only two types of Metalian-supplier support legs I am aware of are these two. Hope that helps.

    Hi funrider,
You can't go wrong with your inquiery/choice. No it does not -is the short answer. It has a rather ingenious little jack, that requires no other adjusting other then the placement of a pin. Tricky in the beginning to get right, but now I have them worked out and remember to them first, all is well.

I replaced both in any case. Having one new shock and one old shock did not appeal to me.
Got new Gabriels from Midas for R350 each. Monroe's are discontinued.

I think I saw your post with the wood and carpet bottle holders, I'm looking at something similar with caddies on the doors.

I would of liked the Mini, but long term wise it would of been bit small so the Maxi was the way to go.
Sorry that I have taken so long to get back to you. We've had ours for three years now and still making changes. Just take your time, as you use it you'll understand what you want and not want.
I've also used those rubber bands, and if you look at my pictures attached you will see them in the background, but I have UPGRADED. We simply use Velcro and it holds my containers.

A nice idea that I put in for my wife was automatic lights. When pulling a draw out, the light turns on automatically. No searching for switches. (That is on the bedroom side, on the kitchen side I still have switches).
My kitchen is not finished, I still have some extra things I want to do. The empty space that we have in the kitchen is often used to large soft items like a packet of chips or something that doesn't need to be secured.

Hi Rory, are those metal holders for the plastic containers available off the shelf? If so, could you please tell me (us) where you sourced them? Tx.

No. We got them made for us. A local guy welded stainless steel rods onto a flat bar. Iíll post a better picture of them so you can copy them if you like.
