Die naweek se skade is as volg

Kar vol water gekry (By mahem se dam in gery OOPS)

What were these guys driving? Maybe it's got something to do with what rubs off the vehicle lands on the drivers

MMmmmmmm Ja well no fine...

Yikes, it looks like you were about to capsize there!

No, our guy goes and marks out new obstacles the day before every event. I actually asked him this time if he lies awake at night dreaming the stuff up for us, but he says no... He's looking for an area with more clay now, because most of our events so far have been at either Vaatjie or Phillippi, and one at Macassar, but apparently someone on a quad got hurt or killed there recently, so they won't allow anyone in anymore. When we were doing our event there last year we saw people riding quads and attempting some of the steepest dunes with passengers and without helmets.

At Vaatjie the obstacles are usually in an open piece of land pretty close to the railway track, but the terrain changes every time.

It was close yes, but our roll-over angle is something like 43° (granted - they test those angles on flat, stable surfaces). Swambo looked a bit worried at one stage (it's her vehicle after all )

Reason I asked about the obstacles at Vaatjie is because our club is busy organising a fund raising event in aid of Alta du Toit and we want to make use of Dirt 'n Dust, but with all the clay around most of the obstacles are very difficult to get out of (and the fact that most of the obstacles are built for challenge vehicles ) If it doesn't dry out by November we might have to reconsider the venue for this event

As for the quads - that's just plain irresponsible

Went to Berakah 4x4 trail this weekend very nice trail I think you could do the hole trail with a standard vehicle without damaging it. My one friend even did it with the new WV Tiqon (Spelling) did quite good he had to take some of the chicken runs and miss out on the real fun part where the board says low range vehicle only but otherwise his vehicle impressed me.

Rhino challenge is fenced off and closed due to a bakkie that rolled there a week ago I wanted to try Rhino out, Andre at Berakha said they will open it again and will notify me he also said the main reason for closing it is due to alcohol misuse (Brandewyn het nie brieke nie) some people has one to many and then attempted Rhino not a good idea. And now all of us must suffer due to some idiots

I will post some photos tomorrow haven't downloaded them yet in all Berakah is a very enjoyable trail I would recommend it

On Sunday a couple of us did Hennops Pride. Going up "Van Zyl's pass" and "Utility Hill" was lekker. The rest is just too short. Had a lekker kuier at the picnic spot next to the river.

How does this trail compare to the other Hennops? I'm keen to give my new suspension a workout on a new trail.....

I did try and do the trail in the Autumn, but is was pissing rain and the lovely old dear at the entrance of Hennops Pride highly recommended that we did not do the trail because of the rain...

    Default Playing at Melkbos

Playing at Melkbos 4x4. Great fun. I am very impressed with the Grand Jeed Cherokee's off road capability. Almost climbs anyware. Lift kit and she can almost climb with the Land Cruser.
